 Movie Analysis Post The Florida Project Scene 1: The original two kids (Moonee and Scooty) knock on one of the motels’ doors and invite another kid, Jancey, to go play. The mom of Jancey continuously asks what they are going to do. The kids know they are going to wander off and walk around the town but they refuse to tell her and instead just reassure her that Jancey is safe with them. This comment is meant to be cute and funny. The whole conversation is set up as an over the shoulder shot. Eventually the mom agrees. The scene cuts to the 3 kids walking across the street to the other part of the motel, this part is filmed with a steadicam. It follows the kids freely as they walk across the road. This scene is short lived as it switches to a wide shot of the kids. I find this scene to be very cinematic as it just shows the kids, from the side, as they walk across the first location; “Orange World.” The camera is set in one place for every location, it shows the whole location (a st...

Five Video Shots

  For my second shot I attempted to do the aerial shot. This shot was very difficult considering I had to be on my tip toes and hold my phone high up, as well as making sure I didn’t come out in the shot. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a perfect aerial shot since I didn’t have the tools to hold the camera at a 90 degree angle. This scene took a lot of tries because my brother kept going too quick and I couldn’t keep up. When It came to the shot inside the mail box I tried to get the mailbox’s POV.  For my first shot I decided to do a master/establishing shot. I used the master shot to portray the feeling of simplicity. This means that he is just woke out of a bed and has no spunk or big personality to contribute to the scene. Simple yet interesting shot. Some struggles I had with this shot is that when he walks through the hallway, I have to walk next to him but the hallway is narrow. For this scene I decided to keep it simple since there is no intricate movements/actions. I did...

Hello, my name is Marianne, welcome to my blog! Some fun facts about me are that my favorite color is light pink, and I hate the colors yellow and orange. When I was little, I was a theater kid. Every summer I would go to a theater camp, we would audition for a role in that year's musical, get assigned our role, practice all summer, and then at the end we would perform. We would perform the musical two days in a row, one for opening night and the next day was for people who missed opening night and just for a regular show, just like Broadway musicals are in town for many nights, except we only had 2. I have only one sibling, a brother. When I grow up, I would love to be an actress! I love the subject science, but I HATE math. I have never been good at math. I only have one cousin my age, but she moved 3 hours away, I miss her, but I am trying to make more friends.
