Marianne’s First Blog

Hello, my name is Marianne, welcome to my blog! Some fun facts about me are that my favorite color is light pink, and I hate the colors yellow and orange. When I was little, I was a theater kid. Every summer I would go to a theater camp, we would audition for a role in that year's musical, get assigned our role, practice all summer, and then at the end we would perform. We would perform the musical two days in a row, one for opening night and the next day was for people who missed opening night and just for a regular show, just like Broadway musicals are in town for many nights, except we only had 2. I have only one sibling, a brother. When I grow up, I would love to be an actress! I love the subject science, but I HATE math. I have never been good at math.

I only have one cousin my age, but she moved 3 hours away, I miss her, but I am trying to make more friends. I am the oldest out of all the cousins on my dad's side, but the youngest on my mom's side. The last thing I will say is a really big fun fact about me, I actually published a book when I was in sixth grade. The backstory to that is when I was in sixth grade, my media teacher at the time told the class that an author was going to come into the class in a few days to speak, and if we wanted to skip our last class and go, we would need to sign a paper, since I had math as my last period, I was ecstatic to hear that I could skip it for a day. Fast forward a few days, the author is here. He surprised us and said that we would all have 10 minutes to write a short story, and he would pick the best one and have us expand on it, make it a book, and he would publish it. A few weeks later, I got a call from my media teacher while I was just chilling at home that I had won! That day, I started writing away, and a few months later, I sent it the editor and they published it.
